For the past 25 years Sadan has continued to photograph local dance companies while working
with some of the outstanding ballet, modern and indiginous companies throughout the world.
What he especially likes about the young dancers and dance enthusiansts is the spirit, energy and
passion they bring to their work and that is the most important thing, transcending technique...
which can also be a part of that transcendent experience we call art. The images on this page are
from the outstanding Westchester Ballet Company founded by Iris Merrick in Ossining over 30
years ago and continuing to train young dancers at the Logrea Academy led by one of Romania's
reknown ballet soloist's Jean Logrea and his wife the Prima Ballerina, Beth Logrea. These images are
from an original annual production of the Nutcracker choreographed by Jean Logrea and combines the
students with visiting international ballet professionals.
